Silly Whatnots

You're a falling star,
You're the get-away car,
You're the line in the sand
When I go too far
You're the swimming pool,
On an August day.
And you're the perfect thing to see.
-Everything, Michael Buble

And you want three wishes:
One to fly the heavens
One to swim like fishes
And then one you're saving for a rainy day
If your lover ever takes her love away
-Three Wishes, The Pierces

It’s often said that no matter the truth,
people see what they want to see.
-Gossip Girl

We stumble into our lives:
Reach for a hand to hold.
And any wonder, we need to find
A certain something, certain.
-Something to believe in, Aqualung

I want to change the world...instead I sleep.
I want to believe in more than you and me.
But all that I know is I'm breathing.
All i can do is keep breathing.
-Keep Breathing, Ingrid Michaelson

The life that you've been living, the days that you've been given
Were made for something beautiful
Life - don't let it pass you by
Because you were created for something beautiful
-Something Beautiful, Natalie Grant

sembreak escapade

My sembreak has been fun. Tiring but fun. Here's what I won't forget in this year's sembreak.

1. Disneyland - It's really a magical place. I feel being a kid again. The rides, shows, parades and of course Mickey mouse was a lot of fun. Plus their hotel is really fab - the hollywood hotel. I enjoyed falling in line waiting to get the 'stars'' autographs. I enjoyed the chocolate fountain. I enjoyed the fireworks. For short, I enjoyed disneyland.

2. Shoppings and night markets - I didn't realize that people in hongkong start their life at six! It was a busy city. Their fashion sense was different from ours but their clothes were beautiful and they had such big malls - ooh.. temptation!

3. Ocean Park - I admit, I have a fear of heights. But, that didn't stop me from trying such heart-stopping rides. I rode "the eagle" while continously screaming. Darron and I tried the "anchor's away" and Darron screamed so loud that people were staring at us! Talk about embarrasment. We also rode the cable cars - and yes, that was not exempted from the heartstopping rides. We got to see the highest escalators in the world. Guess who I saw there too? Gio Limjuco. The dolphin show was great too.

4. Avenue of the stars and floating restaurants - Eventhough we stayed there for a short time, I still enjoyed walking in jackie chan's and bruce lee's footprints and handmarks. Actually, there were a lot of actors and actresses who imprinted their handmarks and footprints, I just couldn't recognize them because they were in chinese. The floating restaurants were great too. It was like a pagoda, only it never moved.

5. Chinese people
- I was strolling in Disneyland when people talked to me in Chinese! They thought that I was Chinese - in fact, I am half-Chinese but I couldn't speak or understand them. I just flashed them all a big smile and say, 'xie xie'.

6. Mall of Asia - Manila time. It was so huge - I found an amazing race clue box. Yay!

7. Divisoria - I love cheap finds. Yeah, Divisoria satisfied me. There were a lot of people yet, that didn't stop me from shopping. I found lots of stuff, from bracelets to shoes to gameboy, it was really cheap. I even bought an iPod.

8. Big bird chicken - Goodness! I cannot forget the night when I was so full because of a humungous chicken. It was Yummy and I'm not afraid to try it again (maybe in a million years. kidding.)

9. Tagaytay - It was like Davao only, it had no buldings. Their swimming pool, their food is great.

10. Cello's - their donuts are so delish. The best MnM, Oreo, Cheese donuts. Yum.

Indeed my sembreak rocked. But I miss Davao. Guess i'm a solid Davaoena by heart. I miss my friends. I miss the school. I miss everything - aaww. I'm a big-time drama queen.
